Who builds Alibi Boats?
Alibi Boats was started by Ron Garrant in 2008. Ron has been building aluminum boats for 4 years having built 15 boats ranging from 28 foot to 42 foot. Ron has experience building fiberglass skiffs for commercial salmon fishing in Southcentral Alaska. Ron also has spent over 30 years on the waters in Alaska commercial and sports fishing and has an appreciation for the ruggedness and stability a boat needs to return home after each outing. He is a craftsman in many areas and has chosen welding and fabrication to create Alibi Boats' premier Elite 33.
What is the Elite 33 made of?
The hull and transom is 5086 grade aluminum; the cabin is 5052 grade aluminum.
Is the hull framing 100 percent welded?
Yes. This provides structural integrity proven to withstand the rigors of an ocean-going vessel.
What is the length and width of the Elite 33?
The overall length of the Elite 33 is 33 feet. The Elite 33 has a beam of 11'4", which accounts for the stability of the vessel. The aft dead rise is 15 degrees which increases to 27 degrees at the forward cabin bulkhead. This along with the -5 degree lift strakes and -5 degree chines helps to achieve planing speed quicker and easier.
What do you power the Elite 33 with?
It is set up for twin outboards. Most boats this size power with either twin 225s or twin 300s. Which outboard manufacturer you choose is completely up to you.
What is the cruising speed of the Elite 33?
If you power the vessel with twin 225s, the cruising speed is approximately 25 to 30 mph and 40 to 44 mph top speed, and if you choose to power it with twin 300s, 50+mph.
What is the range of the Elite 33?
With a 274-gallon fuel tank you can expect a range of nearly 600 miles (using twin 225s) at 25 mph.
How is the accessibility of systems in the Elite 33?
The Elite 33 has 100 percent accessibility to the systems. There are inspection hatches for the fuel, water and propane systems; there is a Freeman hatch for access to power systems and hull of the boat. All wiring harnesses are within rubber grommets, leading to a Paneltronics electronics board housed in the berth of the boat.
How many people can sleep aboard?
The berth has room for three adults and the settee converts to sleep two adults.
What power sources are on the Elite 33?
The Elite 33 has a 12-volt power system only. It houses two commercial marine grade batteries.
Are the windows going to leak?

How much fresh water is aboard?
The Elite 33 has a 55-gallon potable water tank.
How much sanitation/gray water can the boat hold?
The Elite 33 has a 30-gallon waste tank that can be emptied dockside or, according to state and federal regulations, while underway.
What other features are on the deck?
The Elite 33 deck has an ample self-bailing fish box, a propane locker with two Lite 10 pound propane tanks and rigging, a self-bailing bait station with cutting board, storage trays beneath the walk-around, raw water wash-down, and two 300-watt deck lights. The entire back deck is made of diamond tread-plate and is self-bailing. There are eight rod holders on cabin roof and ample space for a lifeboat or runabout on cabin roof.
What kind of paint finish is on the boat?
The cabin is finished with Zolatone, a specialty paint finish that provides a durable finish that is easy to maintain.
Does the boat come with a trailer?
The Elite 33 is sold with or without a trailer. Client preferences vary on trailers, so we would work with the client to try to meet their needs with the products available on the trailer market. The Elite 33 requires a triple axle trailer.
What electronics come with the boat?
Because client preferences vary, the Elite 33 comes with a basic VHF radio. There is ample space on the circuit board and helm for whichever electronics you choose. The Elite 33 is prewired with 4 Jensen speakers in the headliner of the cabin.
Is there a warranty?
Alibi Boats will stand behind the workmanship of the hull and structure of the Elite 33 for five years. Warranties on any of the system products are covered by Alibi Boats for one year. Warranty beyond one year will be found in the product information under warranties and are the responsibility of the manufacturer and their guidelines. We will work with the client and manufacturer to try to resolve any problems that should arise.
